I’m a UX Designer based in Boston, MA. After five and half years in the Sports Marketing industry, I decided to change careers and attend General Assembly’s User Experience Design Immersive program. Prior to making the career change, my wife and I took a leap of our own: we quit our jobs in Connecticut and traveled to Bali for the Summer. We both wanted to be closer to friends and family in Massachusetts and took the opportunity to make the transition period an adventure of a lifetime. Traveling provided me time to reflect and process what I wanted next. So why UX Design?
I want to do work that impacts and improves people’s daily lives
I love coming up with creative solutions to challenging problems
I’m passionate and a great collaborator
What I loved about my last job were the in-person events we created at the Super Bowl; similar to UX, the goal was to create something delightful. As someone who enjoys both the analytical and creative aspects of the UX Design process, I’m excited to continue collaborating and creating with others.
Outside of work, you can find me behind a drum set playing in my band, Jack Slaw. Check us out on YouTube and smash that subscribe button! Also, my wife and I clearly love to travel and are constantly plotting the next country we would like to go visit. So, Greece, India, or Ecuador? Let me know what you think!
